houston! (friday)

we headed to houston on friday for memorial day weekend! our first day there we went to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, lupes...mmmmmm! we got super lucky and scored a dinner table at the bar right by the playground! chloe got to play the whole time and would run over every now and then to grab some fajitas! it was sooooo perfect!

i forgot to post about this because my mom had the pics on her camera! chloe went with mimi, papa, bob & cheryl to the horse races a few weekends ago. she had a great time chillin in their box, going down and seeing the horses and meeting all the people and cheering on the horses! she already can't wait to go back!

play date at the park

last wednesday we hit up the park after school with some of our friends! the weather was perfect & we had a great time feeding the ducks, playing and catching up! :)

menas & grapevine main street part 2

it rained all day saturday-yuck-BUT chloe and i stayed in our nommers until 5:30!!! ha! it was great! i think nate thought we were just 2 lazy bums but we didnt care! we finally got dressed to meet mimi & papa @ a new restaurant in carrollton called Mena's (which just happens to be what chloe calls Lindsays baby that is due in September...because she can't say Mia) So-it was super yummy and we made friends with the manager and he brought us out some fancy free cake-yumm and then we made friends with the band...well, the man that was the band! he was the cutest little old man guitarist...and he was good too!  afterwards we went to the grapevine main street days...but we didn't get there 'till 9! don't call CPS yet...it gets worse!  so we are watching a band and chloe gets "the look"...you know the "poop look".  so, where do you change a diaper when the only restrooms available are port-a potties? seriously? we decide to lay her down on my lap where nate can change her...great idea, right? WRONG! oh my goodness-it was what we call an "a**splosion"  it was all down her leg and in her jeans! we couldn't just take her jeans off because it was cold out so we grabbed a ton of toilet paper from the port-a-potty and tried our best to clean her up! needless to say, we promptly pulled those jeans back up and headed for the Clydesdale's! (we couldn't miss the "neigh's and no one could smell poop pants when you are hanging out with horses!) but really...i do promise we so took her home RIGHT after that! ;)

this one is priceless-those of you who know my mom (or dad for that matter) know that she always makes friends with random strangers...here she is talking to the guitarist's wife...BUT i LoVe chloe's expression!!!! she's like, "Mimi...you're sooo embarrassing me!"

wildflower festival

friday night we headed to the wildflower festival in richardson to see some great bands and eat reeeally healthy food ;) we didnt leave 'till around 10:00 and chloe was great! she tends to "wind up" when it gets late rather than "wind down" sometimes so that helped!

we started out at kool and the gang-who by the way was pretty good for a kinda random band!

today chloe and i went to grapevine main street days and had a great time! we ate corn dogs, fed the animals, got free disney stuff, watched the scary big rides and just played!
