No baby afternoon!

Today my friend Melissa Stephen and I took a shopping day! We shared a babysitter at her house and went to Wisteria, Room Service and Horchow. We had a great time-and we both got some good stuff! Its funny because I rarely spend time during the day without Chloe. Since she doesn't go to preschool yet the only time we are away are at MOPS and our morning bible study...but even then i'm in the same building as she is!!! :) So-Chloe...I love you very much...but I have to admit...shopping without you is a little bit of a special treat! :) So, today I am very thankful for good friends and good babysitters! :)

Today we did a whole lotta hangin out at home. I tried to start working on christmas cards this morning and somehow Chloe got into one of our closets and pulled out my yoga mat. I'm not sure she knew what to do with it...but I couldn't resist taking pictures because it was so funny! This afternoon our sweet friends, The Taylor twins, came over for lunch and playtime. Chloe did a good job (for the most part!) of sharing her toys and we even got to play outside on the swingset and in the playhouse. We are missing our Daddy right now because he is sitting in the suite at the Cowboys/Packers game! Lucky Duck! Oh well! Chloe doesn't fit into her Packers jersey yet...so maybe we will join him next time! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving at Delia's house in Dallas and then headed to Houston! It was a busy day! Chloe's favorite part might have been the Thanksgiving Day Parade on t.v....the "boons" (balloons) kept her very entertained! It was great to spend time with so much family in two different cities. We are so thankful for having family soooo close! Chloe got up this morning and watched the guys start building the dock at Nates parents house. It is a chilly day to be near the water...and I'm glad to be inside!!!! Here are some pictures...

Chloe's New Swingset

Nates parents decided to build Chloe a fort/swingset for Christmas so Nates dad came in this weekend to work on it! Chloe was so excited! She discovered many things, such as a slide does not work when it is laying flat, and swings are the coolest thing in the world even for Mommys and Daddys to use. Nate and his dad worked really hard and this weekend they are finishing the picnic table they are building to put below the fort part. Grandma and Grandpa...you rock! :)

Today we met Mary, Coleman and Kathryn at the mall for lunch, shopping and playing in the play area. I bought Chloe a purse to put under the Christmas tree...she is obsessed with carrying around her halloween bag-so we needed something new! The play area was packed today for some reason-I don't know if it was because it was a friday or what-but it was crazy. Can I just say it drives me crazy when parents don't watch or care what their kids are doing?!?! This one boy was so bad and knocking over all the kids and the parent didn't do anything! Ugh!!!! Anyways-Santa was there but we weren't really dressed in anything remotely Christmas-like so we will save that for another day! Here are some pictures!

today we went to our playgroup at Brooke and Wyatts house! Chloe and I both agree that Brooke is a very good little chef! Chloe was a big fan of the blueberry muffin and saved some for a snack later! Chloes favorite part of Brookes house was by far the fireplace. Chloe loved sitting on top! We tried taking a picture...which was very difficult when you have some sitters and some walkers! I was able to get Chloe to sit for a few shots but she was not very happy about it! I miss the days when we could just line them up on the couch or the blanket!

so last night we watched the CMA's and Chloe LOVED it! She would stand in front of the t.v. and dance and hum along. She loved playing along with her piano and even played her tamborine. Maybe music is in her future! :) Her are some pictures!

So this morning we got up bright and early to head to waco for homecoming! chloe was beyond confused with what was going on and why she was still in her pajamas in the car, but she eventually fell back asleep-thank goodness! the parade was fun, chloe loved looking at the floats and the tons of people kept her pretty entertained. Then we hit up Spice, lunch at Crickets, the bear pit and I'm Yours. By about 3:00 we all were ready for a nap! Luckily Chloe was out for her nap before we hit the highway! Until next year baylor...Sic'em! :)
