camp sunshine-day two!

on friday we headed to karissa's house for camp sunshine. it was ladybug day!! chloe had a blast singing ladybug songs, hearing ladybug stories, playing with ladybugs and having a ladybug snack! plus she got to play in the sprinkler! yea!

the other night, while riding our bikes, we stopped by our neighbors house. EVERYTIME we stop by neil & debbies chloe insists on getting at least her feet wet in their pool. neil & debbie do NOT help! they are encouragers! so we finally gave in and she swam her little naked booty off!

one big 'ol storm

last week while our friends the bales were over for dinner...we thought it would be fun to do this...

okay...not really-the sirens went off and when nate and connor came in and said...very seriously...that we had to get them in the bathroom NOW...we proceded to run down the hall and squeeze all 4 kids plus 2 adults in our hall bath. Where were Nate and Connor? Oh...they were outside in the storm videoing it. thanks guys...at least we had our flashlights, and sippy cups, and wine :) you know, all all the esssentials!

look who's driving!!!!

its about time! she has been terrified of driving the jeep until she spotted another little boy in the neighborhood driving one! ahhh...peer pressure!!! ;) can you tell she takes driving VERY seriously...but she hasn't quite figured out how to stay on the sidewalk! 

ahhh...summer time!

last night we filled up the 'ol swimming pool and let chloe "swim".  the pool is from last year...it looks like we could use a larger one huh?! afterwards we headed to marble slab to eat way too much ice cream!!!

volunteer luncheon

after church on sunday we went to the volunteer luncheon! we had super yummy hard 8...mmmm! oh & don't worry...i had TWO desserts! yep...bannana pudding AND cherry cobbler-mmm..i die! chloe got a little antsy during the  awards portion but she got to play with the shortino girls & her lovely rubber gloves that she stole from the nursery!!!

saturday evening...

on saturday evening we went with my parents to watters creek for dinner and music outside.  we got yummy potbelly sandwiches AND a pizza (since mimi was being high maintenance!) :0 the weather turned out to be beautiful because of a much needed breeze and we snagged a spot under a tree! chloe had a great time-and we all agreed that the music was good-just as long as you didn't look at them! they had some VERY interesting dance moves going on!!!

the carnvial

on saturday afternoon we went to the carnvial that we had seen the night before on our way to the fireworks.  we promised chloe we would go back the next day and luckily we got there right as it opened...at 1:30 in the afternoon?! wierd. anyways-she had a great time riding the "neighs" (the carousel), the helicopters and the train! Some genius that set the carnival up though set up the haunted house right in front of all of the kiddie rides! chloe was so excited to ride her rides...but kept looking over at the "scary house" with a look of terror!

"fireworkins"

on friday night we headed to the gaylord to watch the Friday Fireworks over lake grapevine! chloe kept calling them "fireworkins" and even though she claimed, "them scare me!" she still cried when they were over because she wanted the show to go on! :)
